This policy covers the 5000fish.com website and messages you send us. Our products have their own privacy policies: Yurbi Privacy Policy and DashboardFox Privacy Policy.
Overview
5000fish, Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates the corporate website at 5000fish.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect through the Site, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have over it.
The Site is deliberately simple. We use one analytics tool, UserMaven, to understand how the Site is used. We do not use advertising or social-media tracking, and we only collect your name and contact details when you choose to contact us.
What we collect
When you use our contact form
- First and last name
- Email address
- The topic you select and the message you write
- Company name and role, if you choose to provide them
- The page you submitted the form from and the time of submission
When you email or call us
Your name, contact details, and the content of your message or call, so we can respond.
Website analytics
We use UserMaven to understand how visitors use the Site. It records page views, clicks, referrer, approximate location (derived from your IP address), browser and device type, and visit times. UserMaven also records contact form submissions, including what you enter, so we can see which pages lead to inquiries. Analytics data is collected through our own subdomain (um.5000fish.com) and is not used for advertising. Where required, we ask for your consent before analytics run (see Cookies & tracking).
Technical data
Like any website, the Site is delivered through a hosting and content delivery network (Cloudflare), which processes your IP address, browser user agent, and request details to deliver pages and protect the Site against abuse. We do not use this data to build profiles of visitors.
What we do not collect
- No advertising or social-media tracking on the Site
- No payment information — purchases happen on our product sites and are covered by their policies
How we use your data
- To respond to your message and route it to the right person or product team
- To keep a record of our correspondence with you
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it
- To protect the Site against spam, abuse, and security threats
- To meet legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train AI or machine learning models. We do not share your data with advertisers.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — responding to inquiries you send us, keeping records of our correspondence, and protecting the Site.
- Steps prior to a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — where your inquiry relates to buying or licensing one of our products.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — analytics cookies, which are set only after you agree via our consent banner.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.
Data sharing & service providers
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the service providers we use to run the Site and handle your inquiry:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery, and security
- Pabbly Connect — receives contact form submissions and routes them to our team
- UserMaven — website analytics
- Concord — cookie consent management
- Our email provider — for correspondence with you
We may disclose personal data if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of 5000fish, Inc., our customers, or others. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets, personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
Retention
We keep contact form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, and longer only where the law requires it. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Your rights).

If you are a resident of California or another US state with applicable privacy legislation (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Email info@5000fish.com to make a request; we will respond within 45 days.
Cookies & tracking
We use Concord to manage cookie consent. On your first visit, a consent banner asks for your preferences before any non-essential cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time from the Concord consent controls on the Site.
- Strictly necessary — remember your consent choices. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — UserMaven, which may store a first-party cookie or similar identifier to recognize repeat visits. Set only with your consent.
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site works normally without them. Our product websites (yurbi.com and dashboardfox.com) have their own cookie policies, which apply when you visit them.
International data transfers
5000fish, Inc. is based in the United States, and data you send us is processed in the United States. Where we transfer personal data from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers.
Security
The Site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by Cloudflare's web application firewall. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the data you send us, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Site is intended for business use and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
